The resort Borgo Egnazia located in Puglia, Italy has been named the top wellness resort in the not only the country but in the world, by the Boutique Hotel Awards.
The hotel is located on a hill overlooking the Adriatic Sea, and is famous for its award-winning VAIR Spa and known for its progressive wellness treatments.
Now the hotel is launching a six-day wellness retreat which is “an innovative, non-conventional fitness program that focuses on activities geared to cleanse and revitalize the mind, body and soul while capitalizing on the current trend of promoting mindfulness and healthy living.”
The program focuses on the Medeterannean diet and some of the fresh local ingredients are grown right on the property. The wellness program also features a team of spa therapists, yoga instructors, psychologists, and dieticians to make for the best experience possible. Some of the stress reduction techniques in the program might include music therapy and saltwater flotation sessions in VAIR’s Roman baths.
There are two different intensity levels for the program depending on physical fitness coming into it.
The Spa Director Patrizia Bortolin spoke about the program in a statement.
