This is a tough hike. It’s a 783 m climb over a short distance of 6.1 km. Your reward is a nice alpine lake that is warm enough for a swim in late July and August. We hiked July 28-29, 2018.

The trail head is on Highway 11, a few kilometers south of Abraham Lake. The lake is in the Job/Cline P.LU.Z. so you don’t need a camping permit.

Notice: Some of the clips don’t sound very good. I filmed with my iPhone and a GoPro. The GoPro has an external microphone, but it became partially unplugged so there’s a lot of crackling noise. I did my best to edit it out. That’s the problem with a GoPro; I don’t see the ckips until I get home, so I have no way of knowing if I missed a shot or something went wrong.
